PILAR POBIL’S LEGACY
To me, art is a subject that never ends. There is always more to be discovered, to be experimented, to try to attain. Art is a reality that surrounds us, waiting to be interpreted in our own personal way, not faithfully reproduced, but as a statement of our unique interpretation.
The Foundation will celebrate my Spanish heritage by nurturing artists of Latino and Hispanic descent, among others. Creating the Foundation allows me to offer programs and education during my lifetime.
The Foundation will continue the annual Garden Parties, provide educational programs in many arts genres for the public, and host enriching cultural events for the community. This is my legacy. - Pilar Pobil
